DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY

Rakshpal Bahadur Pharmacy Institute (RBPI), Greater Noida offers D.Pharm, is affiliated to BTE(Board of Technical Education), Uttar Pradesh and approved by PCI(Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi. D.Pharm or Diploma in Pharmacy is a short term undergraduate course in Pharmacy, especially designed for those who wants to make career in the field of Hospital Pharmacy and for sales of Pharmaceuticals. This is the era of digital and modern techniques, because of that need of Hospital Pharmacist is increased now a days to fulfil the needs to understand complexity of formulations and new methods / techniques in medical supportive equipments. Further scope of hospital pharmacist is very bright as the thousands of post is created under Ayushman Yojna , NHM (National Health Mission), Arogya Mela for Pharmacist, ESIC (Employee State Insurance Corporation) and many Pharmaceutical companies/ hospitals of different countries outsource their hospital/ medical related work in India, using pharmacist because of less prices.

Eligibility as per PCI Regulations:

Duration Of Course: The course consists of two academic years and practical training session of 3 months (90 days) on course completion (academic program and practical training), successful candidates will get Diploma certificate from the University/Institute and they will also get registered in State Pharmacy Council as a Registered Pharmacist.

Qualification: Qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy is 10+2 pass with PCM/PCB. A candidate is essentially required only to pass in all the subjects and no percentage criteria are there.

Admission Process: Direct Admission / on the basis of merit of U.P.JEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Exam)

Labs:

1.Pharmaceutics Lab:

There are two Pharmaceutical Labs. The labs are well- equipped with basic, equipments such as water bath, hot plate, magnetic stirrer, oven, electronic balance and vortex. More sophisticated equipments (optical microscope, sieve shaker, planetary mixer, homogenizer, tablet press, polishing pan, hardness tester to measures the thickness and diameter of the tablet, friabilator, Dissolution apparatus, disintegration apparatus are also available.

2.Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab:

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab is well equipped with instruments like, Double beam UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Karl Fisher, Flame photometer, Kjeldahl apparatus, Potentiometer and Conductivity meter. The lab also consists of various instruments like refract meter, viscometer, polarimter and hot air oven.

3.Pharmacognosy Lab:

There is a Botanical garden with various medicinal plants of greater therapeutic value. The lab also consist of modern microscope and various latest instruments like microtone, Soxhlet apparatus and Clevenger apparatus.

4.Pharmaceutical Microbiology Lab:

A microbiology lab is well equipped with modern instruments such as BOD, Incubator and laminar air flow bench with separate aseptic room.

5.Pharmacology Lab:

The pharmacology lab is well equipped with all the modern and latest equipments. A separate Anatomy and physiology lab is there with modern microscope and all testing equipments like stethoscope, Digital glucometer, and B.P measuring instrument. There is a separate animal house.

6.Hospital Pharmacy Lab:

The Hospital Lab is well organised and well equipped to carry out sterilization procedures.
